Day 14

We live in a time when we are witnessing increasing volatility between nations and people groups, and a worldwide increase in violent religious persecution. There will come a day when boundaries no longer exist between nations, and those who’ve received Christ’s salvation will enjoy ultimate peace. However, until that day, we need to be mindful of the billions of people who do not yet know Jesus and the eternal life He brings.
As we look forward to that day when, as Isaiah has prophesied, “people from many nations will come” to hear what the Lord has spoken, let us come together today to pray for those who have yet to receive His salvation. Pray that God would remove all obstacles standing in the way of the Gospel being made available to people everywhere around the world, and that God would prepare hearts that are ready to receive the Gospel message as it is proclaimed. Please pray for those who are faithfully laboring behind closed doors in nations where Christian evangelism is forbidden by law and persecution is severe. Pray for those who have left the familiarity of family and homeland to serve in a mission eld far from home to reach people for Jesus.
As you are fasting, please pray for Inspire Missions Teams that go out multiple times a year to bring training to local Christian workers, provide medical care and disaster relief, distribute much needed supplies, and share the Gospel with those they serve. Please pray for God to open new frontiers for global missions to bring the Gospel to people groups who have not had the opportunity to hear about Jesus. Pray for God to provide training, Bibles, and discipleship resource materials to pastors and church leaders worldwide. Pray for provision and protection over all who serve throughout the nations in reaching people with the gospel of Christ, as well as making disciples of every nation and people group. Pray also for God’s sovereign power to eradicate the world of global terrorism, human trafficking, and to guide the Church in natural disaster recovery efforts as they demonstrate the compassion and love of Christ to their neighbors and communities.
Lisa Terada, Missions Director

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
MATTHEW 28:18— 20
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere— in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
ACTS 1:8
People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the LORD’s teaching will go out from Zion; his word will go out from Jerusalem.
All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.

Day 13

As Christians, we share citizenship in two kingdoms, the Kingdom of God
and the nation state we live in. As citizens of the Kingdom of God, we have the privilege of standing in the gap for the daily needs and challenges of the Unites States of America, its people and its leaders. We get to lift up our nation’s leaders and pray that God would give them wise counsel so they might make righteous decisions and enact just laws. We can stand before God to ask for mercy when our people are faced with outbreaks of disease and overrun by natural disasters. We can ask for protection for our nation against all who would seek to do her harm. And we can partner with Christ by proclaiming the Gospel of peace, to bring peace to our nation that can only come from knowing the Prince of Peace.
As we fast and pray, let us begin to lift up our nation and its leaders. We are living in a time where we need Godly wisdom, national unity, and peace within our country, as well as with other nations around the world. Let us all contend for the spirit of peace, righteousness, justice, love and joy to permeate our nation, and to touch the lives of those in our leadership and the people they serve.
Let us all keep the U.S. military in prayer as well as all first responders to the crises in our land. We live in a free and protected nation because of the dedication of these men and women that have been called to duty to guard and protect us. Pray for their protection and for the protection of their families, as they serve their country.
Pastor Pam Zunic

I urge you, rst of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings (and presidents) and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
1TIMOTHY 2:1—2

Day 12

It is so easy to get caught up in our daily routines that at times, we become unaware of what bills are being passed, what legal matters are being discussed, and where we are in the Hawaii legislative process. Although we may not be seated in the state legislature, part of submitting to our authorities requires our diligence to be aware of current issues, bills and agendas being considered by our lawmakers. When we are aware of our mission, we are able to be under submission as the Holy Spirit directs us to pray, to participate where our voice needs to be heard, and to vote when a vote needs to be cast.
It is God who has strategically placed our leaders in office, and we can be in partnership with the Lord by asking Him for His heart, His will, and His mission for our state and our country. Let us lift in prayer our governing authorities to have great wisdom in finding solutions, resources, and programs that will move our community forward in wholeness. Let us intercede today for righteousness to rise and justice to reign. Let us pray that God would bring an end to the drug crisis in our community, and set free those who have been enslaved to addiction. Please pray that the broken lives of those affected by domestic violence would be healed and protected. Pray for resources to be made available to house the homeless, and to provide better education for our island children. Please ask God to empower Inspire Church and all of the churches in the state of Hawaii to rise up to become a force for community transformation as we continue to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus!
Thank you, Lord, that ultimately, you are in control, and we can rest assured in knowing that nothing is beyond your scope. We place our state in your hands, and trust that you will lead each and every one of us to be responsible for our part in supporting our government. Lord, we lift up Governor Ige, our state senators and state representatives, and our judiciary to uphold the law and lead our state to the best of their God-given abilities. May each of us who are part of your Church, feel the weight and the responsibility that is given to us as your children – to bring you glory in the communities that we live and work in. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
Pastor Ju Frigillana

Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,
or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.
1 PETER 2:13—15 NASB

Day 11

This past holiday season, my family and I visited various friends and relatives in their homes. While in their homes, there was one thing I kept doing… I kept watching my kids to make sure they stayed out of trouble. Maybe some of you can relate.
When they would run, I would stop them and remind them to stop running because this is not our house. When they would play aggressively, I would stop them again and remind them that they might break something. I was so careful to make sure that we remembered that this was not our home and we had to honor the owners because we were just visiting.
I share this story with you because there are times I forget that this earth is not our home, we don’t own it… but God does. We are simply staying here until we reach our final destination. So, while we are here, I must make sure I’m honoring the owner and following their rules.
When I read Isaiah 42:10, it reminds me that God has a plan for every nation. There in Hawaii, here in Manila, and all the other islands across the ocean. As we go through this fast let us be reminded to pray for God’s plans to be fulfilled all across the globe and to follow His calling for our specific area.
Please also pray for your Inspire location here in Manila, that we continue to reach people for Jesus, make disciples, and multiply leaders.
Pastor Nolan Galido

Therefore in the east give glory to the LORD; exalt the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.
ISAIAH 24:15
My Servant will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.”
Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them.
ISAIAH 42:10
Let them give glory to the LORD and proclaim his praise in the islands.
ISAIAH 42:12
